Ryan's New Hiding Place

Ryan can't get enough of this cabinet. He takes out all the books in there all the time!! It drives me nutty. One day I watched him take a few of his favorite things and put them safely in there. He grabbed his pool toy (blue and orange thing) and his dinosaur and put them in there. Next thing I know he was climbing in after them...LOL!! I was a little worried about running to get the camera since I didn't want it to all fall over, but I had to take the chance. He even shut the door himself, but he couldn't get it open again. :)







I love the smile on his face (you may want to click on the picture to see it a bit closer)! Whenever things go missing this is one place that I have to check. I find his sippy and LOTS of other good stuff in there!

Chris and Ryan always have so much fun together. The way Ryan smiles at Chris is priceless... you can just see how much he loves his Daddy! They sure love each other!!

Playing with Daddy!

Ryan loves playing with Daddy! When Ryan hears the garage door open every afternoon he gets the biggest smile on his face and takes off towards the door. I took these pictures back in June of them playing. When Chris tickles him you can always hear Ryan squeal "Dada... No!", but he always runs back for more! :)

Soccer Game

Chris is playing soccer this summer and loves it! Although I think he is feeling his age a bit more than he would like! :) Ryan LOVES going to play and spend some time with Daddy outside. These pictures were taken June 2nd at Chris' first game of the season.

Ryan loves to play with the soccer balls and he always wants to run on the field to play with Chris! We took these pictures right after Ryan started to ham it up for the camera. I think his smile is stinkin' cute... even if it isn't quite natural. :)

Ryan is getting so big!!

Some updates on Ryan. I need a place to record some of these cute things and this is as good a place as any! :)

Ryan basically will repeat anything you tell him, but here are some of the things he says pretty regularly. He loves to dance, drive, keesh - keys (loves to drive... and is always looking for the key that will actually start his little car!), foout - foot, fork... sorta, bottle... not sure how he says it, sip - sippy, mot - remote, night, turtle, milk, yogi - yougurt, hug, show, all done, catch, bubble, pop, run, fast, race, frog, and sheep. One of the things he does that I LOVE is says "Happy, happy, happy, happy... " It always makes me smile to know that he is a happy little boy.

About a month ago now I got him a lemonade while we were at Costco. I handed it to him for him to drink and he looked at it and set it down. He went to Chris' drink and before he grabbed it I switched it with his lemonade again. He looked down at it and put it down again. At this point he looked directly at me then pointed at Chris' drink and said "Cokee..." I guess he knew what he wanted...LOL! :)





Since Costa Rica Ryan has been in love with monkeys. He is always asking for his monkey or "George" from Curious George. This particular day when I put him down for a nap he even had the monkey give me a high-five! :)



Ryan is very animated and always says "Ahhhhh" after taking a big drink. He gets that from his Papou (my dad). He has started to say "Cheese" for pictures... like in the picture above. He combines mom and dad to make "MommaDadda" when he really wants us... sometimes it ends up being "MommaDaddaYiayia" depending on who is around. (Yiayia is my mom.) He also loves to pat you on the back when he gives hugs and even adds an "Ahhh" to it every once in a while. :)

He is a funny kid... he has always had a fascination with belly buttons! It started with his and now it is mine. Whenever we go to bed he searches for it and he even searches for it in the middle of the night sometimes. It is definitely a security thing for him because once he finds it he is always calm. It is pretty embarrassing though when he starts searching for it in the middle of Costco! :) He will also grab my arm at night and tuck it around his body. It is pretty cute to know he just wants to be hugged and feel nice and secure!

He is getting so big so fast! I can't believe he is talking so much! We love you Ryan!!

New Addition to the Family!

On June 12th Doug and Lydia got married! So no this new addition is not our little baby. :) Hopefully she waits a while longer to come! We do have a new sister-in-law though!! She is great and we are happy to have her as part of the family!

Did I forget to mention that Chris and I were REALLY sick that day?!?! We both had the stomach flu... yuck! Chris barely made it through the ceremony and all the pictures outside were pretty tough to make it through. When we got the chance we just passed out on the sidewalk. While everyone else went to lunch we went home and took a family nap until the reception! What a BAD day to get sick!

Bridal Shower

Okay... so this shows just how far behind I am updating this blog. Lots of stuff has happened since I last posted and it is about time I did a little update. I am just going to do a bunch of little posts to get caught up!
